ArtScaping is about taking time to slow down in order to think, to reflect, to rework, to notice things and allow things to develop. Slowing down makes a space for deep thinking as opposed to reacting, responding or following instructions. This is especially important for children. It is a philosophical and conscious action.
ArtScapers have been reflecting whilst collecting, revisiting and thinking about space.
"I have to say it was a really good experience to have these conversations during the drawing and cutting paper, to really have the time to give them the time to explore this different pace. It’s going from rushing all of the time and saying like you’ll have one hour, to going and exploring at a different pace and having the time to develop their ideas. It’s good to have that."
